Exploring our Utah Roots

o

Spent a delightful weekend with family discovering our Utah roots with the best guide possible-Genealogy Grandma!

Visited Fort Cameron to see first hand the lone remaining fort structure William Burt had helped plaster in Beaver. Mom, Dad and the twins in front of the rock home built by William for his family. House is located at 503 East on Center Street in Beaver, Utah

WE were also able to hike to the LONE PINE TREE in New Harmony which I have never before done and we even found the correct tree (it is not alone any longer.) This trip was so fun we've decided it ought to be an annual event and we hope our siblings that couldn't make it this time will be able to next year.

Jan!! I am so excited! Welcome to the world of blogging. I am your FIRST comment. YEA!

The photos are great :) We had such a fun time, and I just really, really, REALLY hope that the other family members will join us next year! I'd hate for anyone to miss out again.

Try posting the Lone Pine Tree pic again. That's weird it wouldn't let you.

Hooray, and welcome to the blogosphere! Fabulous post, but where are the 2,329 other pictures you took?! Loved that trip. Why did it have to end? You and Geneology Grandma were expert tour guides. Thanks for all those back road trips, that was awesome. I'm glad Bryson was able to clarify which tree was the actual "lone tree". Let's hope Grandpa forgives us for that hike.

Oh, I L-O-V-E your blog title. I wish I would have thought of that one. My sister actually set up and named my blog, so I had no choice in the matter. But I love mine anyway.

Okay, so this is how slow I am....I woke up at about 3 a.m. this morning and that's when the title of your blog hit me! It didn't even register as to the meaning of it until then! Good grief. Someone just please help me. I do LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It's so perfect. You are a clever girl Jan :)

Yes, I too am still waiting for you to post the other 2,329 photos that you took. I expected them to be there this morning. You are one shutter-happy woman!

Great blog title! And I figured it out much faster than Maryanne, apparently. ;) Hope to see more interesting posts like this in the future.

Hey, I thought I left a comment already! What happened to it? If not, here's another. Hi Jan! Horray on the new blog!
